The Observatory Database is a system being designed to document the world's Telescopes and Observatories. Users will be able to add Telescope or Observatory information to the database, associate observations with the observatories (using live observation entry), and upload photographs of the observatories or taken with the telescopes.

We are also in the test phase for live observation entry via the World Wide Web. We are testing the system during observations at the Painter Hall 9" Refractor Telescope on the University of Texas at Austin campus and a small 4.5" Reflector Telescope for remote observations. All old observations can be found at the previous Observatory Database.

The site is currently in the design and development phase and has limited functionality. As new parts come online, they will be listed in the news and alert section. Account creation/setup is currently down.
